Dear MSTers/Sporkers/Riffers/etc,

I read MSTs to laugh at badfic. If I wanted a detailed analysis of every spelling and grammar error in terrible fiction, I'd run a spellcheck. Unless it's a sentence like "Out pooped Sailor Mercury" or "Harry Potter masturbated his salad", I don't think we need commentary about how the author's spelling and grammar sucks. We can clearly see for ourselves, thanks.

The same goes for if you're doing a sporking in the style of Das Mervin's Twilight reviews, where you're being educational rather than funny. It'd be wise not to miss the forest for the trees; I think I'd be more angry about the brutal villianization of Princess Cadance to make the Mary-Sue look good instead of an instance that the author used "your" instead of "you're."

I'm not as big a fan of the Nostalgia Critic as I used to be, but "The King & I" episode was pretty good. The Russell Crowe gag was overlong and felt out of place, but at least it wasn't as bad as the "Pearl Harbor" review where the whole Michael Bay sketch took up more of the episode than the riffing of the actual movie itself. I prefer my reviews straight to the point without obnoxious story arcs. :P

Way to miss the entire point of Pokemon B/W, PETA.

Oh yeah, Ghetsis looks like something out of "Cupcakes" and Ash looks like a blue version of Movie!Once-ler in "The Lorax."

Keep bringing the gorn and animal abuse, PETA. Yeesh.

It's too bad that das_sporking isn't currently accepting new sporkers, 'cause I think everyone would have a field day with Manipulated Love. A MST/critical analysis on that fic seems to be the kind of treatment it needs. :P

I had a dream where I was writing Kooper/Parakarry or something. I think I'm getting the urge to play "Paper Mario" again.

Me: I'm interested in "Heavy Metal" now 'cause it looks Crazy Awesome.
Me: And the "Signs" review accurately shows everything that's wrong with Shyamalan.

Which makes me feel a little better after reading some horrific things in the con/weeaboo horror stories thread that he linked me. :(

I guess this is the part where I explain my absence, huh?

It's been a wreck where I am. Namely Mom is at the worst of her hypo-manic stage again (and anyone who knows me understands that I do not use that word lightly) and it's been draining the hell out of me and given me lots of unhinged stress. I may have to move into Dad's office for real this time, but as long as Mom leaves me alone and never talks to me, I can gain some peace of mind. There's also been confusion involving my birth control meds, but I saw my gynocologist for that, so no worries.

Good things that kept me sane included Jimmy's 22nd birthday back on May 17th! Dad even got him a small present~ (We got him several WW2 books, including a memoir of the last Valkyrie) Jimmy and his mom and I ate at a glorious Italian restaurant, and its cheese pizza is absolutely amazing. The food was rich so we got stuffed right away and had to ask for leftover boxes. Then Jimmy and I cuddled at his house and we played Mario Party 3 in his honor before I went home.

Another thing I got to look forward to was art commissions. If Mom gets to go on her giant online shopping sprees, why can't I get myself something nice for a change? Both of them involve characters from my novel... and dear lord, I miss my novel and I want to start working on it again.

jazaaboo is an animator who uses her skills for a charites such as the speedgamers. You know that Pokemon video that I showed you several entries back? Yep, she made that. Unfortunately, she recently had to go to the hospital for emergency surgery, and a single night's stay costs $7000. That's American Health Care for ya. :/

Forwarding and spreading the word is fine and all, but I dunno. I felt like I had to do something. And $15 for a single colored sketch is easy. So I asked her to draw one of my main supporting characters: "Jelly Jane."
