Long time no post! Things have been extremely hectic and busy. Namely because I'm getting ready for college. :o

I'm going to the University of Corpus Christi as an English major. I'm signing up for Composition II and U.S. History to 1865 this semester once my meningitis hold has finally been cleared up. And I've joined a video game club that also goes into the history of old*sk00l games and arcade, so it won't be just Halo and FPSs like the last one I tried at Austin. I just want to finally do well and have a good college experience. ;;

I turned 25 yesterday, and I kept my party relatively simple. We have a half-vanilla, half-chocolate cake! My family's still struggling with finances (thank god we don't have to pay for college until the end of the semester!), but we managed to scrounge enough so I could finally afford a Nintendo 3DS. I'll save up for games like Animal Crossing on my own. A 3DS and going to college are more than good enough as gifts for me! ;; Jean drew me adorable birthday smut, and I've been cheering him on so he'd be more confident in his pretty art. ;; I'm planning on getting my boyfriend to watch Coraline with me, nomnomnom. I've also successfully got Rachel hooked on Digimon! Her favorite character so far is Yamato. :3

My sleep's messed up again, but I should be able to go to Student Services tomorrow. You bet I'm gonna work my ass off!

I guess this is the part where I explain my absence, huh?

It's been a wreck where I am. Namely Mom is at the worst of her hypo-manic stage again (and anyone who knows me understands that I do not use that word lightly) and it's been draining the hell out of me and given me lots of unhinged stress. I may have to move into Dad's office for real this time, but as long as Mom leaves me alone and never talks to me, I can gain some peace of mind. There's also been confusion involving my birth control meds, but I saw my gynocologist for that, so no worries.

Good things that kept me sane included Jimmy's 22nd birthday back on May 17th! Dad even got him a small present~ (We got him several WW2 books, including a memoir of the last Valkyrie) Jimmy and his mom and I ate at a glorious Italian restaurant, and its cheese pizza is absolutely amazing. The food was rich so we got stuffed right away and had to ask for leftover boxes. Then Jimmy and I cuddled at his house and we played Mario Party 3 in his honor before I went home.

Another thing I got to look forward to was art commissions. If Mom gets to go on her giant online shopping sprees, why can't I get myself something nice for a change? Both of them involve characters from my novel... and dear lord, I miss my novel and I want to start working on it again.

jazaaboo is an animator who uses her skills for a charites such as the speedgamers. You know that Pokemon video that I showed you several entries back? Yep, she made that. Unfortunately, she recently had to go to the hospital for emergency surgery, and a single night's stay costs $7000. That's American Health Care for ya. :/

Forwarding and spreading the word is fine and all, but I dunno. I felt like I had to do something. And $15 for a single colored sketch is easy. So I asked her to draw one of my main supporting characters: "Jelly Jane."

Jean and I watched the first two episodes of an Anime called No. 6~ ♥ Here's a synopsis:

"Sion is a bright teenager living a comfortable and promising life inside No. 6, one of this six remaining city-states created by The Babylon Treaty after the last great war devastated the world. On the rainy evening of his twelfth birthday, he meets a savvy adolescent who calls himself "Nezumi" (Rat) and is desperately trying to run away from the authorities. It's also the gayest, cutest thing ever. And there's a canon kiss in one of the original novels. :3 I hope they don't skimp this out for the Anime. Sion and Nezumi are so sweet together. ;; HAND-HOLDING. HAND-HOLDING EVERYWHERE. They even have a waltz! :3 Dystopia and adorable BL ftw.

I downloaded all 12 episodes of Puella Magi Madoka Magica! I'M CATCHING UP WITH ANIME I WANT TO WATCH, WHOO. This show promises me a deconstruction of the Magical Girl along with lots of Nightmare Fuel and funky Yume Nikki-esque imagery. So far, it's delivering~ ♥

I also wanna download Princess Tutu and Toward the Terra. I heard good things about Tiger & Bunny and Simoun from a friend, and I wanna watch Utena so bad. ;; /Yes, being behind on practically everything that could possibly interest me in Anime is probably why I've been so depressed, ha.

My birthday's in 12 days. I'm so utterly shy when it comes to asking for gifts though. I don't want to seem too pushy or ask for too many expensive things. It makes me feel selfish, even if it's for birthday or Christmas. ^^;;; I'm asking for ponies from my IRL friends so my Fluttershy won't be lonely. Puri would love fanart for her birthday (Andy & Marius, waaaah), but since I haven't posted a whole lot of novel stuff on my journal or shown what a lot of my characters look like really (let alone Marius), I'm fine with just pictures of Raggedy Ann & Andy to keep nearby while I write. I'd be interested in how the artists on my flist interpret them. :o

Grimsley/Marshal, fic or art, would be nice too. If all else fails, anything involving my favorite Pokemon like Shaymin, Togekiss, or my Gen V favorites like Sigilyph, Lilligant, Bisharp, and Scraggy & Scrafty~ ♥

Earthbound yaoi (Teddy/Loid, Ninten/Loid, Jeff/Tony, Ness/Poo, Ness/Frank, etc.) Poo/Paula, Pippi/Loid, Madotsuki/Masada, Jackie/Ash smut, Aaron/Lucario or Ash/Latias fluff, even a cute Butler/Diane fanart would make me happy. ;;
