Working Title: HOWL. Johnny Gruelle named Raggedy Ann after two poems by James Whitcomb Riley ("The Raggedy Man" and "Little Orphant Annie") Likewise, the novel's initial plot was inspired by my all-time favorite poem, "Howl" by Allen Ginsberg. Since then, "Howl" has stuck when I'm not referring to my book as "the novel."
Projected Word Count: 20184 last year. This year will be significantly less, BUT WE SHALL SEE.

Puri went looking for 9 icons, nom. Not the greatest but it's the best I could find, considering the movie just came out and all. :o Puri tried making one of her own, but GIMP kept crashing and it made me frustrated. I miss Photoshop so much. ;; While we're at it, let me make a recommendation~ ♥

Whether or not you've seen 9 yet, you'll find the animated short it originated from quite interesting. :o At the end, a lot of audiences asked why the world ended the way it did, hence the movie went under production. :o Dear god, Shane Acker needs to make more animated movies. All the years of hard work that was put into 9 is just incredible. *________*

Puri's in college now! Things are still busy busy busy and I still gotta do shopping and I'm curling up in a corner making hedgehog hisses. I don't have a lot of time to explain a lot (except two of my birthday presents are badass books: The Animator's Survival Kit by Richard Williams (Director of Who Framed Roger Rabbit?), which has fascinating stuff that goes into the process of animation, and Comic Book Tattoo, a giant collection of comics by over 80 well-renowned comic book artists in a variety of styles inspired by the music/lyrics of Tori Amos. The Tori geek in me is happy, and I get to look at gorgeous art~ ♥ That, and maybe it'll drive me to improve my storyboarding in my art book~ ♥

Puri made it into the Women's Choir~! ♥♥♥ Nomnomnom~!

Puri's gonna show Daddy her favorite places, like I ♥ Video and the animal shelter I had trouble finding. I shown him some neat book stores and restaurants already~! We're going to the Alamo Drafthouse when WALL-E opens there again, it's going to be lovely~! ♥♥♥♥♥
