I'm hoooooooome! I kind of feel like trash, but eh. Gotta go to bed. I finally got myself a Twitter account! :D

Taking three English courses in one semester is really, really, really draining. I had a great time at Realmscon earlier this month, and I uploaded photos and... haven't had the energy to post them, whoops. Anyway, cosplaying a Shaymin gajinka was a success! I bought a gajillion new goodies, like plushies, buttons, and even a couple art commissions. :D Panels overall weren't that impressive, but I really liked the Furry 101 one. Everyone was so kind! There was this Derp E. Wolf dude who was like this little mascot kid straight out of a cartoon. He'd so mild pranks like shifting chairs and he's always so enthusiastic about everything. There was also a shy cheetah fursuiter who purred when I hugged him. :D shh i'm learning to embrace my inner furry okay

Femslash EX just put their archive up. I'm praying like hell my fic isn't a total bomb. I got a nice gift though, where Sayaka and Kyouko are badass normals. :D

I'm not joining Yuletide this year, unfortunately. I've got way too many writing assignments on my plate. :( Good to see Clock Tower nominated though! Ib got a little more attention than last year, and there's a couple interesting Chrono Trigger requests. It doesn't surprise me that Five Nights at Freddy's will be the main horror attraction this year. :D There's even a SatAM request buried in the letters! It's too bad I don't remember enough of the series to do some serious worldbuilding fic for the requester though. Balls. The Thief and the Cobbler (Recobbled Cut) got nominated this year by someone, so I'm crossing my fingers someone's got a treatable request for me. <.<;;;

I've been playing Smash Bros. 3DS constantly. Villager is one of my new mains. ♥ Go figure, I made a ton of Mii Fighters, including several characters from my novel, Mami Tomoe (MaMii? *rimshot*) and Homura Akemi, and Utena Tenjou. :D

There was a Banned Books event at my campus library last Thursday! There were lots of people cosplaying characters from banned books, such as Frodo & Arwen, Katniss, Rorschach, etc. I made a request that Dorian Gray lie on the ground and look like he's about to get eaten by a Wild Thing (Where the Wild Things Are) Then on complete improv, the Wild Thing started making out with Dorian! It was glorious. :D I'll share photos later. atm I'm really tuckered out and still juggling schoolwork.

Realmscon is coming up next Friday, so Dad and I went shopping for the parts I need for my Shaymin gajinka costume. No luck with the shoes, hair dye and flowers yet, but we got the perfect dress for half off at Goodwill. :3

I bought a rainbow-quilled hedgehog plushie from Barnes N' Noble because I could. It's so poofy!

I'm getting ready to go on vacation in Wisconsin! I dropped Ryu off with Jimmy and we spent the night together, and I got to meet Eric & Nicole's adorable new kitten! I'm charging my lappie atm, and before I go, I want to share you photos I took of Jeff & Tony in Tomodachi Life. :3

...It finally happened. Mom and Dad may get a divorce.

Basically, my Dad became friends with a patient of his named Jenny. Somewhere along the way, they fell in love, but they agreed not to have a sexual relationship. Annnnnnnnnnnd Mom just found out about it.

To be honest, I saw the divorce coming. I've wanted to get away from Mom for a long time, and I'd take Dad with me because she's been doing a number on his mental health. I just don't know what the hell is going to happen. Dad and I know that Mom won't be able to take care of herself. My brother is likely to stay with her and he has a job now, but he won't make enough to be able to support her. And there's no way my relatives will put up with her. Mom's been constantly berating and verbally abusing us for years (my brother and maybe my sister is the only one she still has a good relationship with), but she can't support herself.

I told Dad that Jimmy and I have an open relationship. And now Mom knows too. Initially, I wasn't going to tell her because then she'd go "So THAT'S why he hasn't been seeing you! He's been with another girl!" and use it against me next time we fight by railing on that he doesn't really care for me (1. Jimmy's been getting ready for a con in Dallas. 2. He's probably afraid to visit me because he doesn't want to get involved with Mom's drama or her fights with Dad) With those reasons, I understand why Dad didn't tell Mom about Jenny. (That, and he didn't want Mom to threaten her) Dad obviously still loves Mom. He's very concerned about her health and doesn't want to leave her by herself, even after all their fights and her constantly belittling and triggering his PTSD. That's why he's stayed with her, because they've been together for years and years before her mental illness took over her personality. He has never, ever, cheated on her in their whole marriage. And there's a HUGE difference between cheating and loving more than one person.

Anyway, I was trying to defend Dad by bringing up my open relationship, and she's convinced Jimmy isn't sincere though I tell her he's been nothing but. She says that what goes on between me and Jimmy is none of her business, but that from now on, he should wear a condom for my own safety (Yeah, as if he totally isn't an intelligent and responsible guy who doesn't know what he's doing) Jimmy's been honest with me since Day 1. If he had feelings for another person, he tells me. And Jimmy and I talked to each other in great length about it. I know he loves my best friend Aspen as much as he loves me, and there's a girl he likes too. Jimmy, Aspen and I are like a trio. An OT3 where Aspen is my moirail and Jimmy is my matesprit. When I told Dad that, he said, "And now, I think I finally understand that."

I want to stay with Dad and Jimmy, but we don't know what's going to happen to Mom. Or me and Dad, for that matter. It seems the longer I stay with my family, the worse things get. I don't know when I'll be able to move in with Aspen in Portland, though. If it doesn't seem likely anytime soon, Dad's thinking of getting an apartment for me. Though if you're a close friend and you want to offer me a temporary place to stay, I'd humongously appreciate it. *hug*

Nice to know that my life keeps getting kicked in the balls.

Bad News: I still have my paper due Monday and I'm not confident about the lab exam. Bleeeegh. I wasn't able to get the whole Weeding furniture set in Animal Crossing today. :( Ryu's chewed my 3DS charger so I have to borrow my brother's until I get anew one.

Good News: I have all the sources I need for my paper, so I'm secure about that. I got the topiary PWPs from Leif, and best of all?

I beat three other people in getting Ankha for my town! For free!

Now I have an adorable Ancient Egyptian kitty for my town! Oh boy oh boy oh boy~ ♥ I'm amazed I even got her, considering how much competition there is for her. ;;

So I started this gigantoid post explaining what my novel is about. And I keep getting stuck. djgsdkjgkds. I wanted to have it finished by November 1st, but it's not even close done. :( Part of it is due to the fear I'll cause Angst Aversion. Though it is a dark book with one of the main characters slated to die (and we find this out mid-novel), it's not 100% about tragedy and suffering, and based off my synopsis so far, I'm worried it sounds that way. :(

And so, I've written nothing for NaNo yet. Take solace in that you're all ahead of me.

I'm staying the night at Mom & Dad's, mainly because the apartment was getting loud and friends are grumbling about an annoying roommate. The resentment's been building and I'm starting to feel stress from it, and I don't know, I just need quiet. Now I'm home, and... I don't really feel any better. In fact, Mom and Dad had a mini argument already. :( Which I feared would happen if I came back for good, so it's a good thing I'm not. Not yet, but even then, I still have my doubts. :(

Also holy shit. I fail at reading comprehension and should probably not review books as I go along 'cause I say things that I want to smack myself for later. Ugh.

Halloween was blah. Sweeney Todd was playing in town, but it was awful. The actor playing Todd sucked, so the entire thing sucked too. I complained more about it on Plurk. Since we're on the subject...
