*HEDGEHOG HISS* There. That's what I'm thinking about life and school right now. I hate it and I hate my Rhetoric essay. Mostly my rhetoric essay. I'm so definitely going to get chewed out tomorrow by a billion teachers, Dad and authoritive staff, ugh. Wanna know how busy that got Puri? Puri had a weird dream she'd been meaning to type about all day, but nope! Always had to keep on her toes or she's gonna miss class. It's pretty much CLASS > *BREATH* *two hours later* > CLASS >*BREATH* *two hours later* > CLASS. Ugh, makes me want to punch a wall. I'm even considering dropping an evening class because it's absolutely made my Tuesdays hell and I HATE going down there at 7-9 when I could be doing more important things like... MY DAMN RHETORIC PAPER. Uggggh. Hating life. I really am.
The dream? Not that you really care, but you know how dreams stick with you for the rest of the day? I drew Animal Farm fanart during Extraterrastials today. What? I had a dream I watched an Animal Farm movie! (Starring Vincent Price as Napoleon! I'm not kidding) Apparently instead of the usual ending it switched to the Simpsons in a weird thought-police dystopia, and Bart Simpson's helmet (supposedly controlling his thoughts) malfunctioned so he attacks a guard and wrenches the helmets from people's heads, giving them individuality and starting to rebel against the system. Huh. Must be from the Simpsons Death Note comic I read on LJ. But it got Puri fangirling over Animal Farm again. :o If I ever was gonna be a movie director, Animal Farm would be the first thing I'd adapt to the big screen. :o Picking the medium is the tricky part, 'cause then there's the issue of not making it tacky. What I do know is that there'd be lots of grays and shadows and mmm, omnious fog. Something to reflect the bleakness of England/Russia. It'll likely be animated, though it's gotta be definitely dark (this is NOT to be mistaken as a stupid infatile 3D 'comedy') and it sure as hell is not Charlotte's Web. (Comparing Wilbur and Napoleon is like comparing Babe with Silence of the Lambs. @.@;;;) Making it stop-motion might risk it falling into B-movie territory, but damn, it would give everyone nightmares for weeks! *________________*
Much to my disappointment, I learned Animal Farm already had a movie. D: Two movies, actually. The first is animated and apparently they ruined the ending by changing it into a happy one. @.@;;; (NOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooo! You're missing the whole point of Animal Farm if you do that! You can lie in film, but in Russia, SOVIET OWNS YOU. God, that's like rescuing Boxer or anything proposterous like that) The second one is live (which I assume is done Babe-style) but I'm skeptical as it looks too comic. (I know the book's a satire, but come ooooonnn! DDD: ) There's an interesting bit at the end though where Jessie (?) and a few others come back to find Manor/Animal Farm collapsed, which foreshadowed the fall of the Soviet Union in real life in 1989. Huh. I'm not happy Clover supposedly gets a smaller role in both films. ;____; I mean, she was kinda there, but she was an observer, and I could identify with her. ;;
Wow. I want to reread so many books now (Farenheit 451, Animal Farm, etc). There's a ton I wanna start too, like Twilight for lolz, Lolita because Nabokov's snippets absolutely wowed me, and... waaaaaaah! College isn't giving me time to breathe! I'm a slow reader, take pity on me! D:
