After a cataclysmic event known as The Flash, the afterlife is separated into two separate realms: Los Angeles (heaven) and Olathe (hell). Because the world is full of sinners, Olathe often gets overcrowded, so Los Angeles has to do a yearly "culling" with exorcists to prevent any uprisings. How can spirits die in the afterlife, you ask? Every demon in hell experiences the Second Death, in which a void forms over their face and they become baby factories in which various cherubs are pulled out of the void to become new exorcists.(Just like FAITH: The Unholy Trinity but with angels!)
Meet the son of the Prince of Olathe, Angel Dustin Morningstar (you can tell 'cause he wears a red skull) Dusty is a kindly demon who can't stand his people getting slaughtered each year, so he proposes: what if a soul can be redeemed? If a demon can be rehabilitated and ascend to Los Angeles, it would solve the overpopulation issue and the yearly genocide would end! And he can do it by offering a shelter to those who seek redemption... the Inzolent Inn!
However, Los Angeles isn't too keen on the idea. In a land full of violent monsters, pathetic losers, and gross perverts, is it even possible for anyone in Olathe to be redeemed? Do you even want certain demons like the notorious Marty to find salvation? What's the criteria for a soul to enter Los Angeles or Olathe? Do the higher-ups even know?
Spoilers: the afterlife is all Los Angeles, they just use different color pallets.
OTHER IMPORTANT CHARACTERS I'M TOO TIRED TO DRAW
Dick Richard Dickson - Ex-exorcist, kicked out because he was too lazy to kill demons. Party guy, hardly lifts a finger to do a thing for the hotel though.
Queen Dianne Roger - Crossdresser and owner of his own club The Beehive, he agrees to help out at the Inn after Rando helps him with his clients. No-nonsense and ready to bash exorcist heads in at any time.
Chris Columbo - A pimp never without his hell deer Spaghetti or his feather boa, he runs the Gents and is determined to have his revenge on the Prince of Olathe, whom he bullied when they were both alive and in their youth.
Olan Dan Hoyt - A drunk archer demon who sucked so much at marriage he's been forgotten by his angel wife and two daughters in Los Angeles. Despite gaining an extra set of arms, he still doesn't wear a shirt.
Lincoln Townsend "Tiger Man" - A tiger martial artist who was defeated by Rando and joined the Inn in hopes maybe redemption will make him stronger.
Mad Dog - Landed in Olathe and turned into a Cyclops demon due to killing his sons.
Cheese Legs - A teeny demon doggo with teeny stubby demon horns. Yip yip!
Yado - Some angel who gets a kick out of blowing trumpets for some reason. Who was he again?
Satan - Just a guy named Mike.
