Here's an idea how insane this romhack is gonna be.

On one hand, I think if I can get through the game, I stand a chance at the competitive Pokemon scene. On the other, the Safari Zone has a puzzle where you need to use 499 steps out of 500 in order to get the Surf HM. Screw up once and you're fucked. I just don't have patience for that kind of frustration. :P

No, I am NOT Nuzlocking this thing. I got my limits, yo.

Oh wow I just started and I was like "Wait, my rival gets a MEW???"

Lucky my Bulbasaur starts with Toxic and Vine Whip, so even though he got me with a Thunderwave, the poison damage from Toxic allowed me to win despite losing multiple turns to paralysis.

I gotta share my story how my battle with the rival went, man oh man. Needless to say, I was proud of my victory. :D

Sadly, status conditions are only going to be helpful for wild Pokemon in the long run, since the AI always use healing items on the exact same turn you status them. They can have Full Heals, but you can't. D:

Well dang, that sucks that trainers just heal status effects. But then again if your status infliction was attached to a damaging move, then that means you do the damage and your opponent spends their turn healing the status, so that doesn't sound too bad. Maybe.

Mind you I'm in the middle of the maze that is now the Viridian Forest so it'll be a bit before I can take on Brock.
