The first I saw of DDLC was Monika x Female Player and ... I was a bit disappointed it wasn't an option :'O

& yeah, felt bad for Monika (and Club President, in general) for how the game is just Like That.

Chara x Frisk, Frisk x Asriel, Chara x Asriel

OH BOY Uh... abridged version?

I love the idea of Chara being Frisk's ghost guide! They're such messed up little kids with radically different views how to approach things, but they share so much in common and they develop a special bond and become an incredible team because of it.

Friskriel was my first major ship in the game (along with Alphyne of course and Soriel!) and it's still my major OTP to this day~ After such a rough start, they're so sweet and cute together, and the hug scene will always resonate with me. ;; Not to mention their color scheme meshes beautifully together~ <3

Would you believe I was turned off by Charasriel at first? It seemed like Chara needlessly took advantage of Asriel without caring about him at all. Then I was introduced to NarraChara and the ship became the beautiful adorable tragic mess that it is. ;; I love how it goes from innocent friendship to obsessively codependent and then they finally get a chance to heal together after all the trauma they went through. <3

My favorite Madokaship, and I really want them to sit down and talk and actually fix things. ;; Rebellion broke my heart into itty bitty little pieces, but I'm still holding out hope there'll be a happy ending for them. The sacrifices they made for each other are so painful, and the girls need to realize they individually matter too. ;;

Miki/Juri, Anthy/Utena, Mallow/Olivia, puppies/furniture

Guilty pleasure ship! I adore their friendship, and while Juri's love for women is such a huge part of her character and I don't want to mess with that, there's a chance she could be bi (and heavily leaning toward girls) with a place for Miki in her heart. :) That, and Miki is the only guy I could stand to pair her up with (canon or crossovers) anyway. :P

The truest of OTPs. ;; I used to see them on promotional art for years, and then I actually watched the show and movie and fell for them hard. The cantarella scene is iconic, and thanks to all the analysis and essays I read, I now bawl every time I watch the last episode. ;;

They're cute! Throw Kiawe into the mix, and you got the Mallow Special OT3! :D

Juri/Shiori, Miki/Kozue

"Thorns of Death" is one of my all-time favorite episodes of the series and it sends me chills every time Shiori caresses Juri's face and tells her how beautiful she looks to see her in pain. I think they do work things out in the end (as shown by Shiori joining the fencing team in the end) but boy there's gonna be a lot of work to get there. Not that I'm complaining. (munches popcorn)

I saw them less as an incestuous pair and more like two siblings that really didn't know how to interact with each other, and it especially didn't help with how Ohtori/the patriarchy had twisted their views on sex. Miki has been bought by the Madonna/Whore complex and fights to see Kozue as a "good" (meaning "innocent" meaning "never slept around") person, while Kozue is so jaded she decided that nothing she does will ever make her a "good" woman, so she does whatever she wants while simultaneously "protecting" Miki from herself and anyone who tries to "corrupt" him. They have this perfect image of each other from their childhood that they cling to that they learn to let go, and that's when the two siblings finally reconnect.

They were cute while they were still together, but after that, I think they should move on. I believe they can still be friends! But if they tried to get back together, it would just reopen a lot of old wounds. :(

Utena/Shiori: I like this one! It's got the potential to be very interesting, what with Utena being the opposite of Juri. Will Shiori find herself envying Utena? How long will Utena be oblivious to this? LET'S FIND OUT

Miki/Shiori: Doesn't really do anything for me. :(

Wakaba/Shiori: This one, on the other hand... Wakaba and Shiori actually have a lot in common, especially when they're pushed to their worst. :o

Monika/Asriel: THE NEWEST BEST CROSSOVER SHIP. I fell in love with it after seeing art of Monika & Flowey together. They've got so much in common: they were both warped by constant resets and the trauma of said resets, and their sense of empathy had been eroded. They fixate on the one person they believe can free them (Asriel with Chara/Frisk, Monika with the Player). They both become remorseful for what they've done and go through sincere lengths for the player and their friends' happiness (ex. Monika protecting you from Yandere!Sayori and grieving that she couldn't make a space for her friends to be happy, Asriel sacrificing himself and willing to turn back into Flowey to break the barrier to free all monsters) I imagine what it would be like for Monika and Flowey to try to out-manipulate each other, only to fall in love and end up becoming each other's redemption. ;;

Sayori/Yuri: I wish we could've seen more of them in-game! Otherwise, I don't have much to say about it except Sayori's cheerfulness and understanding probably went a long way to helping Yuri feel welcome at the literature club. ;;

Yuri/Natsuki: My favorite Doki ship! I think it's so sweet how they secretly care for each other after all, and Natsuki's letter in Act 2 tore me up. ;; They could totally take care of and look after each other, like Natsuki bandaging Yuri's self harm scars and being patient with her if she's still addicted. ;;

Yuri/Sayori/Natsuki: Poor Monika, she's left out. ;; Add her in there and I'll be happier. <3

Lexi/Giving You Too Many Ships: OTP
