I'm not denying the lady is wrong-headed, that any hypothetical son of hers would likely have problems, and that her views on gender are distinctly disturbing, but there's a vast difference between "have lifelong problems" and "GROW UP INTO A SERIAL RAPIST". I again apologize - I don't like call-outs on principle, on the grounds that they're jerkish and over-aggressive (and yes, I'm being an over-aggressive jerk here) - but could you please pick slightly better wording next time? No, I should be the one apologizing, since I did use the wrong wording. I didn't mean to imply that crappy childhood = automatic sociopath, especially since I'm against that belief as well. What I meant to say was if her son did grow up to be a sociopath, that she shouldn't blame it on his gender. Sociopaths have complete disregard of other people, and anyone of any gender and sexuality can be one. Women are capable of being every bit as cruel and horrifying, and they don't need the patriarchy or the abuse of men for them to be so.
