The opening act of the Olympics was incredible; I could've sworn I thought I was seeing either of the two Fantasias. There were times among the fireworks that I mistaken the effects for 2D cartoon animation, and the people flipping the pink flowers open and raising the "print keys" like something outta M.C. Esther was whoa. So much damn color, and the kids were so cute in their costumes! *_____________* Everything was vibrant especially the 2008 "firefly" men sparkling in sync in the darkness, and this huge globe they walked in orbit with, and the girl flying with her kite and the guy sitting on the piano with his daughter or something and here's the biggie: Sarah Brightman was there.
I had no idea she was so popular in China. Nor did I know she could sing Chinese! *________________________*
They're announcing countries and showing their marching athletes, so I'm skipping that. Still, just whoa. China wasn't kidding when they said they built a Nest. *_________________________________________*
It's like among the firecrackers and rainbows of lights, the smog in Beijing cleared a little.
I was taking everything in with my eyes so much... no wonder they define it "eye candy". Puri likes watching gorgeous things like Secret of NIMH and Beijing's opening.
The scrolls, the body paint... the silk dancers... to think I almost sat here on the computer if my mom hadn't dragged the family out and missed all this. Nobody's gonna care or be pessimistic about my excitement, but damn, I know when I've been moved. *_______________________________________*
