shamanicshayminI haven't really been updating my journal much lately. Mainly because I'm worried about college and Astronomy and I wanted to spend more time catching up on studying Spring Break. The student theater was giving free showings of I Am Legend, so since Liane liked it, Puri went and gone to see it thinking of her. Nice, sad and spooky. I liked it. :o I gasped/jumped a little at some parts, like when we see the zombies for the first time (gathering around shuffling and chewing something. @.@), I'm such a wuss. XD I was sitting there in dread in my seat, so... not fun. It's like "just kill them off and get it over with!" and it doesn't. So you're sitting there waiting, like one a kid waiting to receive booster shots when the shot itself isn't that bad. It's all about the wait, folks. That's where the real fear is. :o
Puri loves German Shepards~ ♥ Such a sucker for them. I thought I should let you know~ ♥♥♥
I knew Sam(antha) was gonna die. D: Like, the second they mentioned she was only airborne resistant, I knew something horrible was going to happen. D: Last thing I wanted to see was Sam turning into Zombie*Dog, start attacking her owner to the point where he has to shoot her down and kill her. D: So it was really sweet after she was wounded, Robert carried her home, euthanized her, and cradled and sang to his doggie during the last moments of her life. There's a lot of sad, subtle moments in the movie like this that made me wibble. T-T
The ending felt kinda rushed though. I knew it was gonna be different from the book, but yeesh. They made the whole meaning of the title "I Am Legend" sound like a cheesy overdramatic biopic. :P It was badass when Robert pulled the needle of the grenade and plunged himself at the zombies though. Heck, I wouldn't have minded much if it just ended there, or Anna and Ethan being let inside the colony. Just skip the sentimental monologue, blech. XDDD!
I love the two guys who sat behind me during the movie. XD They made hilarious comments like "You're the cancer that's killing the world!" at the beginning of the movie, and at the end when Anna and Ethan approached the gate: "Welcome to Jurassic Park".
I wanna read the book now. I gotta get those other endings!
In the meantime, I'll be waiting for Dad to pick me up for Spring Break. Nomnomnomnom.
