Darnit, I keep losing interest in my favorite characters as the Potter series goes on. I loved Sirius and Remus back in PoA, but then they start getting kind of... "there". And it sucks. Okay, well, not Sirius. Kinda. But maybe it was a good thing he went through the veil before--eh. Maybe I'm just cynical that after oh, PoA, and not making a big deal about his werewolf curse from now on, marries Tonks despite not wanting to, impregnating her with their child, then running off while leaving her with the kid ALL ALONE in a corrupt dangerous wizarding rule because of what? "WAAAAAAAAH! WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! OUR CHILD MAY BE A WEREWOLF!!!!!11!11 IVE ENDANGERED MY WIFE I'VE ENDANGERD MY CHILD ADN NOW MY CHILD WILL BE HATED AND DISCRIMINATED AGAINST FOR HIS WEREWOLFISHNESS WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!11!1!11!111" WTF!? Grow a fucking spine, Lupin. Thank god Harry told him just that. He took his advice, thankfully... and I was still "D:" when he was listed among the dead. I can't see his death changing anything, but sheesh, killing off Tonks too? Okay, so maybe I don't care for her character. But geez, leave Teddy an orphan, why don't you? Who the hell took care of him? Harry? The Weasleys? Well, I suppose at least Sirius, Remus and Tonks can reunite in a threesome in Heaven now.
But you know whose death REALLY made me upset? Fred's.
My instant reaction: DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~!!!!!111!1!11!!!!11
Puri's respect for Percy came back, so I can honestly say I love all the Weasleys again. (Well, maybe I'm getting "eh" on Ginny. She was awesome in OotP and HBP for being sane, but then she became Harry's love interest and kinda spiralled down from there. Yuck. XD) Puri's been praying over and over and OVER that Ron would gain his dignity so Puri can start respecting him again. After his fullblown whininess in early chapters, he did! :o I cheered when he rescued Harry from drowning and stabbed the Horcrux, and he and Hermione deserved each other by the end of the book. I've been a R/HR before, though as I lost my faith in Ron doing anything useful or good, I hated how stupid and petty their fights were in HBP. DH MADE ME BELIEVE AGAIIIIIIIIIN~~~~~~!
Nazi!Dumbledore! :o That, I've been spoiled on Snape dying and being on Dumbledore's side all along. But then again, it's no big deal--I saw it coming. I knew Snape had a crush on Lily!Man though, he's kinda a stalker. Same Patronus and everything. Green-eye fixation much? oO;;; I didn't think I'd care what'd happen to Dobby. But he went out, kicked ass, sacrificed himself and died. DDD: Free Elf, man. Free Elf. I never cared much for the Malfoys, but what Narcissa did by lying to Voldemort was awesome. :o Earned some cool points there. Can't say I cared Crabbe died, but sheesh. Facination with splitting twins much, Rowling?
Epilogue was okay, even if I wished Harry and Ginny hadn't gotten together. XDDD! Names are still WTF though. I can get Teddy being named after Tonks's dad, but having kids named "Lily" and "James" is gonna be super confusing filling out forms. Malfoy's kid, well... at least his name isn't Poo. *AVADA KADAVRA'D!*
