Does anyone have a .GIF sprite of Mike/Tom/Crow in the MST theater so I can make an icon of them being forced to watch DA? 'Cause I swear the place is teaming with wankery and assholes. Well... the Sonic portion of it, that is. Everytime I go on DA, do I have to plug my ears going LALALANOTLISTENING to strangle the artists who hate New!Sonic but proceed to draw and make cynical unfunny comics anyway (seriously, they draw the same comic over and over and over and people think it's still clever/funny)? Or slitting the throats of people who think Shadow's emo and plastering their faces until SA2B is jammed in their cranium (even if it makes them throw temper tantrums of denial, kicking and screaming)? It's... ugh. Getting on DA is getting bad for my health.
Whatever happened to DA when it was fun? Heck, I come back like a sick puppy because it's the only place where I can find rare obscure art and have it not suck. But is it honestly worth it anymore? Especially for a few pieces of art while enduring people who make me upset? I know I've made a lot of friends on DA. But it's sad when I watch some perfectly good artist succumb to the New!Sonic bashing art and Emo!Shadow comics that his/her work becomes dry, repetitive, loses its spirit and optimism, and well... becomes cruel. I shouldn't have to feel uncomfortable looking at someone's art. Which of course, means yet another artist I've taken off my Watch List.
Guess it might be time to go back to the old days, where you browsed Japanese sites for art, eh?
