Ugh... never realized just how bad your braincells rot when you surf online. And I used to brag my cranium never turned to mush 'cause I don't watch television. @.@;;; I've been a bad, bad Puri. Coming to check on things after... what? 4-5 days? Plethora of creative thoughts and returning memories, too. I've been much cheerier. *nod* I've also started a game of "Banjo Kazooie" and having fun though I'm getting tired & frustrated around Steamboat level. Just crawled outta the mansion with Loggo, and... ick. @.@;;; But I've got every puzzle piece and 100 Notes in each world so far!

To toy with something else a while from Banjo, I decided to give FF5 another go, despite the godawful console translation. (Faris's "piratie" accent, anyone? @.@;;;) I'm still hooked as hell to the Jobs System. *__________________* Maybe I'll get to that part in the game where I was stuck and FINALLY get past it to beat the final boss and see the ending~! Yaaaaaaaaay~!

I'm starting Dune by Frank Herbert. Usually I have to trudge through the beginnings of books before anything neat happens, but Dune's catching me on pretty quickly, which is always a good sign for books. :) I spoke with Dr. Weiner (my psychiatrist/therapist/whatever) about fantasy novels a little, saying what I liked and didn't like about them 'cause I could. (Well, mostly the latter... 'cause I'm most picky about what I luff, 'tis all~ XDDD;;;)

"I hate it when authors jam their worlds/reality into fantasy. I didn't want the U.S's politics and religion pressed in my face--I read fantasy to escape from that, to attach myself concerns of another world. The "Armpit of the Nation" is STILL the Armpit of the Nation, even if there's castle towers instead of skyscrapers."

"I hate boring main protagonists. They're just OMG SOOOOO GOOD AND PURE AND HEROIC cookie-cutter puppets under the influence of DESTINY ZOMG DESTINY CONTROLS EVERYTHING. GET IT, CHOSEN ONE? GET IT GET IT? PROPHECY~~!1 *ahem* I want a dynamic hero. Someone I could care about and ROOT for. Just because it's a fantasy novel doesn't decree by SOME law or another that you'd have NO PERSONALITY WHATSOEVER. All you princes and princesses and kings and queens and overloads are all the same. It's fantasy! YOU: the people living in it, are spectacular too! Hell knows that under the right author, you're more real to me than any kid I've met in high-school."

"I wish fantasy novels wouldn't be so serious all the time. I want there to be humor, for me to laugh, the characters to laugh and enjoy themselves... it brings so much more life than if everyone were just "OMG DEADPAN SERIOUS" 24/7. I want my fantasy to have spirit--I want an adventure. With characters real, human, and with their own personality before me, I develop feelings for them instead of just someone I brush away and ignore--I take their hand. We start walking together, and I get to know more of this strange, crazy life around me... now this is true adventure."

I should read more [livejournal.com profile] limyaael rants when I'm less Internet cautious. The one about the dragons definitely caught my eye! *____________*

Sleepy Time, now. *nod* Still pretty much avoiding the Internet like all heck. I've got "Cardcaptor Sakura" graphic novels to read!

P.S.: What do you do when you're offline? Play video games? Write/Draw? Waddle outside? Chores? Listen to CDs? Watch movies? Dig through your Beanie Babies to pick a villain to kidnap Princess Shadow (adorned in real Tiffany & Co. pearls!) and snap pictures of Sonic's quest to rescue him to scan on the computer? Corpus Christi is a boooooooooooring, boring, hot place. Toss any ideas at me even if it's stuff you know I'm doing already, like board games or curling up with a good book. ;D

P.P.S.: I'm feeling guilty of starting a comm right before I leap off for a Net*Break. XDDD! Yet [livejournal.com profile] bluestarrevenge has earned itself one respectible member, and... it makes me happy other people like this comm enough not to let it slip off under the dust of Forgotten Comms, ya know? It feels good I'm not the only one who ♥s the comm--it's like my little baby, and... guh. I feel like a mom that constantly badgers people with photos of her kids or something. (Hughes Syndrome? XDD;;;) Maybe I'll sneak a post for the comm when I'm better. Thanks to everyone who's keeping it from being dead and losing its spark! *________*

P.P.P.S.: Since I got that Sonic doll, I think I corrupted Mom into Sonadow too. "Is that Sonic?" "Yep!" "Wow... and that's Shadow, huh? Hey, the colors... neat! They look cool together!" "Of course they do, Mom~!"
