The only thing worth going outside for are the toads.
I ♥ toads & froggies. ^^
I'm serious. Every spring, my family and I used to drop by the Tennessee Nature Center, and I'd get really excited seeing little jello/string batches of black dots in the water--later I absolutely adorabed scooping up pollywogs in my hands. They were that cute. I did the same when they started sprouting legs and losing their tails too. By the end of summer? I'd be cheering because of all these teeny itty bitty little frogs bouncing about the lake, all grown up.
Unlike other girls my age (and even today), I never thought they were gross and slimy and gave you warts or any disgusting myth like that. I thought they were cute. :(
Edit: Tree frogs! Ten kajillion loads of colorful kickass awesome. *____________*
I'll have to start packing for vacation tomorrow. I'll update more info tomorrow if I can. Expect everyone's drabbles as souvenirs. *nod*
