I don't know about you, but I don't want the LJ userinfo to look like this.
2006 PETITION AGAINST CHANGES IN THE LIVEJOURNAL INTERFACE
Looks like myspace. Seriously. :/
Also? If anyone has a problem with me on their LJ, be it large problems, teeny-bitty reasons or somewhere in between, I'm not stopping anyone from taking me off their flist. Seriously, if you're constantly annoyed with me? The purpose of flists is to watch over friends. You know, aquaintances and all that. You don't keep a person you hate or don't like on your flist--it's ridiculous. The only reason I don't have Friends Cut entries on my LJ is because I find it a selfish way to gain attention from everyone on my flist. Note: for ME. I don't mind when everyone else does Friends Cuts, I just simply leave a comment to stay on and such and don't think much of it. But here, on my LJ, I have a feeling I'd just use Friends Cuts as a wanky dramatic excuse to be emo or something, and it's bleh. Also, what if someone who doesn't come on LJ that much but is a good friend nonetheless later comes online and panics when they see the friends cut entry? "OH NOES AM I TOO LATE!?" That would 'cause for some newly strained friendships, hm?
So, what I'm asking is, is not "Am I annoyed with you?" but "Are you annoyed with me?" Basically, think of this entry as saying you're free now. I won't get upset and throw hissy fits if you take me off--honest. I'll just nod, remove you as well and move on. Simple as that. There's no shame in removing someone from your flist. Hell, it's even done quietly *GASP!* all the time, no wankfests or drama needed. LJ's not a race to have the most people on your flist as possible--usernames aren't objects. Whether you keep or remove me is your own choice--I want your "okay" first. You don't need to state everything that's wrong with me in comments or email, of course--just not seeing your name on "mutual friends" on my user info will be enough. For those who stay, know that I love you very much, no matter how much or how little we've made contact. For those leaving, it's been a pleasure knowing you, and I wish you the best of luck in whatever you do.
