The good news is Stranger, the "Yes to Gay YA" post-apocalyptic novel, will finally be published on Winter 2014.

That DOES look like a really cool book. Some of the various details of the setting strike me as being a bit cheesy or unbelievable (I mean, a cataclysm's struck the world and Los Angeles of all cities is okay?) but it does look wildly fun. And I'm all for making characters in stories LGBTQ (or whatever) just because you can.

The city in question was rebuilt over the ruins of LA, hundreds of years post-apocalypse. ;)

(I'm sorry, I couldn't resist commenting - normally I stay out of such things. But you're totally right, it would be unlikely for everything but LA to be destroyed. That being said, this is more "X-Men in the post-apocalyptic Wild West" than hard science fiction.)
