shamanicshayminEveryone needs to read Candle in the Forest by Temple Bailey: it's an old, old Christmas story... and one of the most touching things I've read this season. It made me feel good in a "It's a Wonderful Life" way... so if you're feeling a little miserable for the holidays, this might cheer you up on what Christmas is really all about. :)
Annnnnnnnd the Character/OC surveys everyone's taking. What, you didn't know I had original characters? :o Well, here's one...
1. What is your character's name?
P.A.N.D.O.R.A: The All-Gifted
2. What kind of character is it (furry, anime, etc) and any particular race?
SegaSonic*OC. He's a computer. :o
3. What is the first thing your character would think of when he/she first wakes up?
You mean "rebooting"? He'd check his systems and the lab to see if everything's running okay, of course. :o
4. Your character's favorite outfit would be?
Naked. Technically, he can't wear any clothes, so...
5. When your character looks into a mirror, what's the first thing they would notice?
It's going to be REALLY hard to see the entirety of PANDORA, unless you're well... him. But even then, he'd see only bits at a time. XDD;;; Otherwise, he's normally perceived as a shiny black orb-cameraish thing with a blood-red gleam.
6. Does your character have the same tastes in food as you?
PANDORA doesn't eat. oO;;; Doesn't need to, either.
7. How is your character similar to you?
*points finger to head* We are both brainy and intelligent. ;D PANDORA is also very dedicated to what he does, and holds a penchant for creating robots and taking care of the lab, while me, I make stuff like fanfiction and icons and silly characters like him. XDDD;;;
8. How is he/she different?
Everything else. oO;;; Seriously... PANDORA? Is a horrible bastard. He's also very manipulative and calculating, and cold as ice--he frankly has about no emotion whatsoever, and has an even harder time emphasizing with others: hence, he can get away with unspeakable things to other characters, and not feel a sweat of regret. He's also more orderly than I am, and well... he's a crazy sick genius. XDDD;;; (And in a way, the latter is kind of like me, though not nearly on the same level as PANDORA is. *shudder*)
9. If your character could speak, would they have the same voice as you?
I would not fit at ALL. XDD See, though PANDORA is a computer, even he's gotta have a voice that fits him: so while he normally speaks in a dull monotone like any other machine would, it also has a degree of depth to it. PANDORA is supposed to sound very contradictory: he sounds like a nice guy, yet you can't help the feeling of wanting to keep ten billion feet away from him. He also sounds threatening, but you're thinking that he can't be that bad, he cares about you... Like your dentist, you know? Confused? Think of (must I say it?) Dolores Umbridge *SHUDDER* from HP OotP: she's described as having a voice of "poison honey". With PANDORA, I describe him as "hushed and neutral, like one moving their lips to speak silence, or lips shut to word sirens. The voice was laden with false comfort, a doctor telling you everything would be okay--and hiding a collection of scalpels and needles beneath his coat."
If I had to pick a voice, I'd say Douglas Rain would fit PANDORA with his logical, computery creepiness like a glove. ;D (He does none other than HAL-9000 of "2001: A Space Odyssey". ;D *cue squeeing and geekery*) If we're going for the calculating and manipulative route though, emotional-wise... I had one, but I'm probably super inaccurate. I suck at picking voices. XDDD;;; *SHOT'D!*
10. If you were to suddenly become your character, what do you think would be the first thing you would do as them?
I'd start building more robots for my army and have them spruce the place up, possibly design a new trap~
11. Is there something about your character that you don't like how others think of them?
That he's TEC from "Paper Mario 2: The Thousand-Year Door". XDDD *SHOT'D!* Nah, I'm kidding. I joke about that a few times. But so you know, he and TEC are NOTHING alike. Really. XDDD;;;
12. What advantages does your character have over you?
He can do complex calculations, he has a way more humongoid IQ than me, he takes care of an entire laboratory and different sorts of machines, robots and technology, and... a lot of things I'd explode trying to figure out.
13. What disadvantages?
I have a heart. :P Ah ha ha, take that, PANDORA.
14. Do you have any secrets relating to your character that only you know?
Oh yeah, plenty. A lot of spoilers. @.@
15. Do you have any secret drawings only you know about?
You mean little crapsketches (though not really, more like diagrams) that only exist in my notebook? Then yes.
16. Do you have any plans for your character or are you working on something big relating to him/her?
The Secret*Fic... other than Eggman and Metal Sonic, he's the main villain in the entire thing.
17. What misconception(s), if any, do people have about your character?
Looks like I'll have to repeat myself, do I? @.@ Yes, he was originally inspired by TEC. But! Nowadays, he's more HAL driven if anything, with sprinkles of Greek Mythology (But of course: look what he's named after! :o) and other neat stuff. ^_^
18. If you could have just ONE characteristic from your character, what would it be?
His logical thinking so I can ace my Mathematics exams and college classes alive. XDDD;;
19. Have you made any characters that go along with yours, based on real-life people, that have the same relationship with your character as you with the real-life person?
Nope, don't believe so. Or not yet, but... it's unlikely.

Yes, definitely--heck, he's changing as we speak, and I'm working on his backstory again as of late... ;D
