Jul. 30th, 2009 08:17 pmOnce upon a time, there was an old couple who lived alone in the woods by the sea. Their names were Grandma and Grandpa Rose. One day, Grandma Rose was out for a walk when she found a strange blue egg on the beach. No Pokemon had come to retrieve it, so she and Grandpa Rose took turns looking after it in their home.
After a month, the egg hatched, and the oddest thing happened: upon the cracking of the egg, the bodies of the Roses were switched! They found the little creature who caused this, and Grandpa Rose recognized him from a book of illustrations that he was Manaphy, the legendary Prince of the Sea. The Roses decided to adopt Manaphy and named him Chaos after the bizarre switch that resulted from his birth.
Chaos grew up to be big and strong, becoming friends with the Pokemon in the sea and woods. During winter or when he was sick, he would leave for the ocean. But always, Chaos returned, including Christmastime. Chaos's favorite thing to do was gather by the fireplace with his "Granny" and "Granpappy" drink hot cocoa and munch Poffins. Granny loved to sew, and she made cozy scarves and blankets. When the cocoa was drank and the crumbs were nibbled, Chaos curled up with Granny and Granpappy under a quilt and fall asleep by the Christmas glow.
But the peace in the Rose family wouldn't last. Team Galactic detected the presence of Manaphy in the woods, and followed the signal to Granny and Granpappy's house. A grunt and an officer threatened the couple to hand over Chaos, keeping them as hostages and threatening to do worse if they did not comply. Fearful for their safety, Chaos did the one thing he could do to save his grandparents: he heart-swapped himself with the Galactic official, shooting himself with the gun and leaving the body mortally wounded. It saved the Roses, but they were shaken by what happened; no doubt that Team Galactic would return for them.
Chaos would have to leave for the ocean with a tearful departure. But not before Granny and Granpappy gave him a farewell present; from this day forward, Chaos wears a red scarf around his neck as a reminder of his grandparents.
Chaos would begin a gigantic journey and make friends along the way. Such meetings include mischievous Fiona and the Phione colony, communicating and befriending the widely feared Kyogre, and working together to defend the Water Temple from the Galactics.
Chaos would live on for a long mortal life. But Granny and Granpappy were soon to depart. What would meet him should he finally return to their home in the woods?
Remember home is where the heart is...

Jul. 30th, 2009 08:33 pmI can't live in this house anymore.
I'm disappointed in my family.
Nothing but yelling and fighting and misery.
Dad keeps constantly losing jobs and cusses at executives over the phone.
Mom uses my little brother as a soap box, constantly criticizes and sucks all the motivation and joy I've ever had.
I can't live like this anymore.
Except I have nowhere to go. Can't drive. No job. I'm clueless as to how these work in the first place, and Mom drilling me every three minutes does not help either.
College? We've got money issues up the wazoo. If the problem isn't not affording it, it's wasting it due to my miserable performance the past two years and what a hopeless and jaded cynic it's drained me into.
I need help. But not here. My own fucking parents can't even help themselves.
Don't tell me I'm too negative. As far as I'm concerned, impending doom is all I'm smacked with. Whatever little bits of optimism is used to distract me from this atmosphere, 'cause all other peppy thoughts are virtually fucking ignored and crushed by the gloom of everything else.
I want out. But where can I go? Whose friend is willing to let me leech off their apartment without my parents going into a screaming hissyfit?
