I beat Final Story on SA2B again. I kept needlessly getting killed at the final boss (fucking lasers), but I managed to stick around to hear Sonic and Shadow's lines to each other at the 4 minute mark with Final Hazard in the red.



Sonic: Shadow, I understand. You're unstoppable. Let's destroy this creature now! Everyone is waiting for us back on Earth!"
Me: Oh my god, Sonic is basically telling Shadow to come home. ;;

Shadow: Hahaha, Sonic! I think I've discovered what the Ultimate Life Form is... it might be you!
Me: *got only "Hahaha, Sonic!" while she just died* gdjsghdkjsghdkg

Later I got the rest of his speech and wibbled forever. ;; They are such fucking bros.

I still think Shadow's death on-screen had a poor execution (he just falls in space with no explanation! YAAAAAAY!), but the way Sonic and Rouge and everyone else reacted to it makes up for it. Just... nnnnnngh. DDDD: The way Sonic stands shaking in the doorway gets me everytime. ;;

Jean brought up an interesting point regarding Shadow's return in the later games. Like in "Sonic Heroes", nobody acted shocked or surprised that Shadow was suddenly alive again. I mean, I think Rouge was all, "It can't be!" when she found Shadow and Omega at the beginning of Team Dark's story, then after she heard the explanation and was all, "Okay, I can work with this." Which is fine, I guess. But then you cut to Team Dark vs. Team Sonic. Sonic, Tails and Knuckles aren't the least bit freaking out or confused that the hedgehog that gave up his life to save the world from Final Hazard is suddenly alive and has no memory of them whatsoever. It's just, "o hai Shadow." And that always felt just weird to me. It's like, "Oh, Shadow's death? No big deal. NOPE." I know Sonic Heroes isn't considered the greatest game in the series, but at the very least, Shadow's return could've been handled better.

On the plus side, now that Jean's finished SA2B, we finally got to start RPing Sonadow~ We're at an emotional beginning, and I totally approve of this. ;D Jean's playing Shadow and he's doing a good job. ;; It feels odd for me to play Sonic now... I feel like a veteran. :o Just goes to show Sonic is with you to reflect how far you've grown.

Hell, I find it hard to believe the Dreamcast era/early 2000s/SA1+2 are considered nostalgic now. :o

Chao Report

PM = Regular Chao. Hero/Normal. Used to unlock Hero Garden.
WV = Regular Chao. Dark/Normal. Used to unlock Dark Garden.
Nepeta = Regular Chao fetched from the Dark Garden (my brother ganked the egg from the Hero Garden, so its his). Dark/Power. Which doesn't look right for Nepeta. Whoops. I feed her tigers and jaguars though, and I gave her a skull to wear to make up for it. :3 She absolutely adores Shadow. <.<;;;
Aradia = Red Chao. Neutral/Fly. I'm hoping to get her on the Neutral/Fly/Run so her horns will curl back just like the original Aradia's. :3 Fangirls both Sonic and Shadow. I swear, when Chao like you, they're all, "Let me worship your leeeeeeeeeegs!"
Tavros = Brown Chao. Neutral/Fly. I fed him bats so he's got no legs, which I find hilariously ironic. I'm going to evolve him into Pupa Pan~ ♥
Karkat = Gray Chao. The newest Chao, and I'm setting him on the Dark/Run path. By feeding him bunny rabbits and unicorns~ ♥ He's got an :< face too, which is only fitting for the most adorably angry troll he's named after~ *giggle*

I'm trying to earn emblems so I can get a black egg for a Shadow Chao. I hope the pink and purple eggs show up soon because I want those. ;; A pink one to name after either Roxy or Pinkie Pie and if my cards play right and the stats are perfect, I can name the Chao after Joy the Audino from Black Adventures. Because the Neutral/Swim/Power evo totally reminds me of an Audino.

I'd have multiple purple Chao. If I hatched a purple one with a crazed grin, I am naming him Gamzee, no question. And I'll breed him with Tavros for a PB&J egg. And a (shiny?) purple Chao named after Twilight (either G4 Twilight Sparkle and/or G1 Twilight, as much as character space will allow) would be completely adorable.

Dammit. Now I want the Mane 6 in my Chao Garden, and I'm already shuffling a lot of Chao!
