In reverse chronological order:
1. A Bliss of Another Kind (LISA, Buddy & Rando & Terry, posted 2024) — “Bliss” by Tori Amos (Series itself is NSFW, though Bliss doesn't have sex scenes)
The second part of my ongoing fix-it fic series, Joyless Rehabilitation! Each of the titles has wordplay around "joy" and what's a synonym for joy? Bliss.
2. When everything's made to be broken (LISA, Rando & Brad, posted 2024) — “Iris” by The Goo Goo Dolls
Fun Fact: this is the second fic to be inspired by Iris, written years (over a dozen!) after my ancient Neopets songfic on FF.net. XD
3. To warm the cold side of the pillow (LISA, Brad/Terry, posted 2023) — “Hunger of the Pine” by alt-J (NSFW)
God, that was song of the year for me. ;; It was SO difficult coming up with a title because there's a jillion lyrics from this song I want to save for other fics, but I think I did okay here? The fic was almost called Busy Bee Terry, but it didn't feel quite right, and then I got obsessed with this song while writing the fic, so here we go. XD
4. No matter how your heart is grieving (Paper Mario, Peach & Twink, posted 2023) — “A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes” from Disney's Cinderella (1950)
Written for Yuletide last year! The song was stuck in my head while writing this fic, so it fit together like peanut-butter-and-jelly.
5. Behind Paranoid Eyes (Cuphead, Werner Werman, posted 2022) — “Paranoid Eyes” by Pink Floyd
This is basically me crying and taking a cartoon rat boss way too seriously. Also don't mind me as I plug the fanmix I've made for him here. (Or here if you have Spotify)
6. you had blood in your face and i had blood in my eyes (Nanquest, Father Velasco/Lorenzo, posted 2021) — “The Origin of Love” from Hedwig and the Angry Inch (NSFW)
To this day, this is my favorite Nanquest fic that I've written. I think I accomplished expressing all the feelings I had for Lorenzo and Velasco as characters and a ship, and the catharsis I wanted for them here. ;;
7. We're in cities at night and we got time on our hands (Deltarune, Spamton/Kris, posted 2021) — “Love for Sale” by Talking Heads (NSFW)
I got impatient waiting for more Spamtis porn on AO3, so I wrote my own. XD Unsurprisingly, antis bitched about it, but not my use of Talking Heads for it. I guess Talking Heads was before their time. :P
8. Like Real People Do (Rubyquest, Ruby/Tom, posted 2020) — “Like Real People Do” by Hozier (NSFW)
My entrance into fanfiction based of TGWeaver's works. ♥ Yuletide fic which is basically a smutty epilogue for Rubyquest. Four years later, I ended up filling a sentence prompt to the same song with BradTerry (LISA) because I'm predictable. I love this song. ;;
9. And We Shall Be Together (Sally Face, Todd/Neil, posted 2020) — “The Same Deep Water as You” by The Cure
This is my first Sally Face fanfic and it shows. :P I'm still disappointed how abruptly the game ended and how little we got to see of Todd and Neil's relationship (and Neil himself before he died), so this was a response to that.
10. A Few of Her Favorite Things (Pokemon, Froslass, posted 2018) — “My Favorite Things” From The Sound of Music
I guess this kinda counts, haha. XD Yay for Pokedex-inspired horror!
11. Fitting Back Together (Pokemon, N/Hilda, posted 2011) — “The Origin of Love” from Hedwig and the Angry Inch (NSFW)
The title isn't a lyric, but the fic itself is still heavily inspired by the song, so I'm listing it here to be safe.
12. Homeward (Yume Nikki, Madotsuki/Masada, posted 2011) — “Homeward” by VNV Nation
Goddamn, this fic is old now. :o Basically me pouring my heart out about Madotsuki and Masada.
13. Fragile Discretion (Sonic the Hedgehog, Vector/Espio, posted 2008) — “Fuck Her Gently” by Tenacious D (NSFW)
Like the N/Hilda fic, this is an honorable mention—not a lyric from the song, but still inspired by it. People really seem to like this one. I'll have to write more Vecpio when the Sonic muse comes back. :o
14. Shh (Etiquette) (Earthbound, Poo/Paula, posted 2008) — “Shh” by Frou Frou (NSFW)
Oh god, this is so OLD. This is the first time I ever wrote hetsmut, and ow ow, I have second-hand embarrassment—it's awkward in all the ways it's not supposed to be. ^^;;;
