Oh, jeez. D: I'm so sorry it ended up like that. Nintendo shutting down the 3DS eShop was crap to begin with, but it sounds like they weren't very clear about the whole adding funds thing.
(I hope someday Pokemon Bank becomes free or at least they cut the price in half.)
