Shadow the Hedgehog

WTF concept? Check. Plotholes galore? Check. Annoying English voices? Check. Weird controls? Check. (Goddamn motorcycles) Campy? Definitely. Basically far from being the best game ever, and I can see why people dislike it. Yet despite all the drama that's gone on with this game's release and fandom memories I'd rather leave behind, I have a bit of a soft spot for this game.

Proof that Shadow's the ultimate versatile bastard life form, isn't he? It isn't a "Sonic" game per se, and more like a spinoff. The whole game reminds me of those B-movies like those Ed Wood classics, and it tries so hard to be so serious it comes off as hilarious. ("Where's that DAMN 4th Chaos Emerald!?") Lucky for me, I bought the PS2 version so I can turn the Japanese audio on, which makes a world of difference. :P Sonic follows you around and constantly flirts with you, and of course, it leads to the gayest Sonadow scenes ever. *giggle* Lost Impact (one of the two Maria stages in the game) has the prettiest music in the game imo. T-T ShtH also gets uncomfortable to play since you're forced to complete the Dark paths in order to get to the Last Story, and godammit Shadow, you're betraying Maria you're not supposed to do that. D:

I still have the Shadow beanie that came with preordering the game. I never wear it and it's in my closet collecting dust, but maybe I can use it for something like giving it to one of my bigger plushies. That and I have a special ShtH controller to play with and it works pretty well. :o Fandom provides all the goodies for ShtH, complete with bitching fanart, nomnomnom~ ♥

There's father-son alien incest, complete with tentacle rape. Okay, I made that up, but the subtext is there.
