Day 1: Your current favorite game

Pocket Monsters: Black & White Versions
I've been holding off on spazzing for a while, partly because I've been so caught up playing this masterpiece~ ♥
It's like everything I love about Pokemon, and taken fresh, new, original and better than before. I'm at my 5th badge and I've already decided Isshu is my favorite region. Here are some of the things that rock about B/W:
- Obviously, I'm in it for the Pokemon. They've really gone all out with this set! Even the Pokemon I was "eh" on before (like the Dark/Fighting Pokemon whose pants keep falling down) are growing on me. (The garbage bag Pokemon still makes me die inside, of course) I love the idea of going to an entirely new world and leaving all the old stuff behind, pouncing on every new mon I can find (don't worry, you get your buddies back after you get the National Dex. ;D) No more Geodudes! No more Zubats! It's a fresh start and I'm excited and 10-years-old again~ ♥
- "Won't that mean with the Zubats gone, there'll be a billion Koromoris in its place?" Wrong! The Pokemon in each route are varied. For example, the puppy Pokemon can only be found on the first three routes. That's it. Everytime you go to another route, expect a new Pokemon. The Pokemon that do reoccur, such as the rare shaking-grass-patch-only Tabunne? They net a ton of experience when you beat them. Hell yeah!
- Leveling up your Pokemon is so much easier than it's been in the past gens. You've got your friends, Cheren and Bell, and your rival N who come for repeated battles along the way. Did you know Professor Aragi gives you the Lucky Egg after getting the 5th badge? If you ever wanted a Lucky Egg in the past gens, you had to look forever for Chansey and pray she has one. But no more! You can also reuse the same TM over and over again, and goddamn is it convinient. Why didn't they think of this before? I can experiment moves with my Pokemon as much as I please.
- The developers were clearly thinking of me when they made all these funky new Pokemon. I knew I loved grass-types and held interest in ghosts, but Isshu sealed the deal. I want a mono-grass and mono-ghost team. I'm fangasming over my new favorite grasses and ghosts! Chandelier and Pringles Jellyfish, nomnomnom~ ♥ Also, did you see the way the Bellossom-like Pokemon (Doredia) dance? God that is so cute. Maybe I'll make a mono-Psychic team too, there's a lot of badass new ones too. Like the Nascamon, nomnomnom.
- THANK YOU. GOOD BUG POKEMON FINALLY. I have a Hahakurimo now, nom~ ♥ Even a regular Bug/Poison Pokemon (the centipede family) is kicking my ass and constantly poisoning my party. DDD:
- I'm reserving judgement on the humans until I understand what the heck they're saying (aka when it comes out here in English. *sob*), but everyone is so colorful! I love the designs of the trainer classes, like the dancer and cheerleaders and such. Nomnomnom.
In short, totally badass and worth playing, nomnomnom~ ♥♥♥
