shamanicshayminI was not looking forward to entering the pirate ship in SMRPG. Sure enough, we just survived being tentacle-raped by King Calamari. Thanks to a certain disgusting short story I read, I know what intestines are supposed to taste like. That did not make matters better with those tentacles slapping my party around. Because I'm awesome, the team passed on without dying and recovered from their Fear Status in a snap (and Mallow recovered from his fear faster than Mario and Bowser! Dude, kid is made of iron. :P) Geno levels up. I cheer. Until I saw the new spell he just learned and I computed a small irony.
You just had to have a move called "Geno Blast", didn't you Geno? Yes, I know it's actually a prismatic slamdown with Rainbow Rays of Doom. But the images, they aren't nice. Not what I needed after fighting a boss that made me uncomfortable like that. Just... WHY. *sob*
On the plus side, I learned why I couldn't get Geno Whirl to work. First I timed it before the first disc hit the enemy (I believe that's how you time 1-Hit-KOs apparently. It's super hard), then I read online that I had to press before it left the screen. I was still confused why I got nothing. But then came an "Ohhhhhh" moment. I had to time it before the tail left the screen, not the first disc itself. Man no wonder I couldn't 9999 anything. But that's fixed now. I'm in awe of Geno and his ability to cut down annoying enemy encounters by slicing certain troublesome foes in half~ ♥
Obviously I'm not using it for Exor. That's cheating. :P
