- N has a child-like personality, and by child-like, I mean "curious." Pokemon, formulas, people, the relationship between humans and trainers, the outside world, etc. fascinates him and wants to know more. He values what he has learned from the B/W protagonists, Reshiram/Zekrom (depending on your version) and even Ghetsis, because he's hearing different views, different sides. BW was about him understanding that things aren't always black and white, and by BW2, he is also free to assert himself and stand for what he believes in. According to him, he likes Unova because "It's the place that taught me how to live as a human... It's the place that made me notice the harmony between Pokémon and humans living together..."
- In BW, N was determined to earn the respect of Ghetsis. Up until end-game, Ghetsis's cold nature was something he had grown up with, something he was used to (and Ghetsis purposely distanced himself from him also so N would be more likely in awe of him, because he knew so little about him except what Anthea & Concordia and the rest of Plasma said). In BW2, he becomes like Fluttershy at the end of "Putting Your Hoof Down"; he is never hostile toward Ghetsis, but he won't stand by with him taking over the world and abuse Pokemon either.
- While N is an intelligent person when it comes to strategy, logic and reasoning (and as evidenced, a talented trainer with extreme high-level mon) his social skills with humans need a lot of work. He himself admits this... he's great at communicating with Pokemon, not so much with humans. If it seems like he's stalking you or says something disturbing in BW, he doesn't know that this is generally perceived by other people as "creepy" behavior. While he still has an awkward way of speaking in BW2 ("That's an ugly formula! It won't work!"), he's had two years worth of experience and has gotten much better. He's a fast learner. :o
- Because of his yearning for knowledge and general intelligence, expect him to ask a lot of questions or else explore why he thinks the way he does. He's generally a thoughtful and compassionate person.
- Finally, N isn't the type of person to leave his past behind him. He still rides the ferris wheel, visits the ruins of his old castle, etc. He reminisces of his childhood and thinks about the person that he turned out to be, how it affected his choices, etc. rather than "zomg my past was so terrible!" He acknowledges the good and the bad; and uses that to grow so he could further realize the truth/ideals.
