For those who did the music meme a couple entries back and got stuck, here are the answers to the numbers you didn't get... along with free downloads. :)
1. Garbage - Cherry Lips (Go Baby Go!) (One of the fun, cute songs from my Winamp list with and odd/interesting beat and such. It's about erm... pretty girly men? But yeah, I like it as much as I do "#1 Crush" by the same artist. 'Tis a feel-good song. ^^)
4. Sarah McLachlan - Ice Cream (Short song, again really cute. One of those soft-fuzzies you have while you're just typing along on a casual day while having some sweets or something. ^^)
6. Queen - Don't Stop Me Now (First off, I'm baffled. I know I had some pretty obscure, tough songs on there, but sheesh. How on EARTH could you guys have missed QUEEN!? ._.;;;; Allow me to refresh your memory a bit. You might recognize this song from somewhere, you just didn't know the artist or what it was called at the time. ^^)
7. Apoptygma Berserk - Unicorn (T.O.Y. Remix) (And I take it no one here's heard of Apoptygma Berserk. XDDD;;; It was bloody hard trying to find the lyrics myself, curse the obscurity! XDD;;; So lemme try putting it in a nutshell: if you like electronica/synth/futurepop, you're definitely gonna like these guys. I know I'm a sucker and holding out my bowl like Oliver Twist for more. Have fun~! X333~!)
10. Smashing Pumpkins - Zero (I don't really have a lotta stuff from the Pumpkins yet, but dang, I find something interesting: one minute, Billy Corgan is fluffy and happy and feel-good (See "With Every Light"), and the next, it's complete opposite: "Zero" here being an example. The most loud and enraged song in the Mp3 post too, which is a first for the 10 billion I normally have. XDD;;;)
17. VNV Nation - Holding On (Again, not many on my flist heard of VNV Nation. Again, electronica/synth/futurepop goodness~ One of my earliest friends shown me more of the music after I sent him "Beloved" (which was his gateway drug), so he was free to enlighten me in turn, and I have a pretty close connection to Ronan Harris since. :) This is one of the more sadder, angstier songs, but I'll be damned if I wasn't bawling my eyes out while I set this on repeat like a blubbering fangirl)
18. Nancy Sinatra - Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down) (Bwarg, I hear the original Cher version is better. And no, I've never seen a single "Kill Bill". :/ Ah well. Still fun. That, and the Shadowy*Gun desktop Kojichan drawn that I've had since April 2005 is inspired by that song, so it matches nicely. ^^ /fangirl)
20. Chris Isaak - Wicked Game (First off, I don't typically like country music. That is, if this IS country. XDD;;; But dang, I found this off a Yami no Matsuei FST some months back, and I'm hooked. ._.;;; And 'cause of where it's from and what it's based on, I think dark, creepy thoughts when it comes to this song. Erm, nevermind. But damn, this gives me plotbunnies. XDD;;;)
And a few extras (and shorter descriptions 'cause I'm lazy):
VNV Nation - Fearless (Ahh, Ronan Harris. I love you. *__________*)
Gregorian - Wicked Game (Same song as Chris Isaak's. Only this time, Gregorian monks sing it! ;D 'Tis pretty~)
Curve - Hung Up (Just another song I'm addicted to. Whee~)
And for something that's probably 1000000x more interesting, I've got little pieces of Sesame Street nostalgia for ya. :333 Video time from YouTube~!
Ernie & Bert: La La La Song (Complete with "linoleum!)
Ernie sings "Rubber Ducky!" (Ye gods, that was a favorite of mine. I even owned this tape and watched it as a kid! *___________*)
Do De Rubber Duck with Ernie!
C is for Cookie (I owned this too! *________* Sad I still remember this song along with Rubber Ducky and the La La La Song these days...)
Cookie Monster - One of These Things (Dear God, I know this one too...)
Cookie Monster - Healthy Food (After all these years, Cookie Monster STILL raps better than 98.99% of all the stuff in our radios/iPods today. 8333 But today, soccer moms raped and stuffed him in a cave so he'd never eat cookies again. *SOB* T-T)
Poetry With Kermit & Cookie Monster~
Cookie Monster tries to steal Ernie's pillow~
Bert & Ernie - Imagination (This was the final song of my Nighttime Sesame Street video, and it was the cutest thing ever. T_____T I still remember the little twinkles and balloons floating around, it was magic...)
Artwork and Pottery by Ernie!
Kermit - It's Not Easy Bein' Green (I want to give him humongous hugs all over again. T-T)
I miss old Sesame Street. Nowadays, we're stuck with Elmo's World. :(
