I actually felt like as a whole Ana was more intelligent than Bella? But then again, 99% of that comes from the fact that (spoiler?) she dumps his ass at the end of the book, YOU GO GIRL. I wouldn't go as far as to say she had agency, because lol no she didn't, but I didn't find her as despicable as Bella. I mean, at least I can have faith that after dumping him she's not going to start throwing herself off cliffs just to see him again or something...
