Sep. 8th, 2005 07:22 pmSeriously, some of the "Sonic" fans out there really need to take a chill pill. And quit overreacting and taking the smallest, frivilous details so seriously.
It's a "Sonic" snowboarding game. I'm not that crazy over it, moving on.
But when people are like "OMG they called it 'X-Treme', SEGA's trying to be 'hip' and 'cool' and ignore old-skool!" or complain about characters made soley for the purpose of the game anyway, they MOAN and GROAN that "OMG SONIC IS DEAD!!1" Puh-lease.
Dude. It's a tiny, itty bitty racing game. It's supposed to be for fun. You know, to take a break from the usual major stuff that occupies the series. It's not supposed to be "Sonic Adventure 3" or anything like that. Do I see any of you guys complaining when "Sonic the Fighter" came out, 'cause it broke the mode of usual "Sonic" games? :P I don't even see people whining much over "Sonic Battle", if at all.
Time, people. It tells. A lot.
Meanwhile, I'll be looking at the "Mario" sports games. At least I don't see people screeching over "Mario Baseball" 'cause "OMG MARIO ISN'T FOLLOWING THE OLD 8-BIT CLASSIC GOOD GAMES ANYMORE, MARIO IS GONNA DIIIIIIE!!1"
And I've probably pissed off ten billion people now.
