My boyfriend thought the story was better than the video. :o Candle Cove (the original) is one of my favorites. That one hit all my nostalgia buttons (I can especially relate to the whole "Hey, does anyone remember this one show/movie, or am I just crazy?") and the twist... ouch. I agree the added bits (and sequel, which apparently missed the point about what made Candle Cove so intriguing in the first place) were unnecessary and stupid, though. The videos sound lame. :P It's so annoying when people think, "Hey, this isn't scary enough! LET'S ADD GORE/VOMIT/ALL THOSE OTHER CLICHES!!!11!1" The worst case I've heard of is a recent version where the Skin-Taker raped Janice. Yeah, because the Skin-Taker just wasn't creepy enough by himself, let's add contrived rape to shock people! *slaps own forehead*
