Pit bulls describe several breeds of dogs (including mutts) where they have "block-shaped" heads, including bull terriers and staffies. We got a ton of staffie and staffie mixes at the shelter I volunteer at, nom.
I think that's what distresses me most. Lots of people nowadays are willing to open their hearts to pibbles, but can't adopt them because they don't have enough money and they'd have to face the choice between giving up their home or their dog due to breed bans. :/ In brighter news, there was a city that lifted their pit bull ban after a pibble rescued their owner from being sexually assaulted by her ex. Pibbles are heroes!
