...Yeah. You know those cheesy avatars on DA featuring different "Sonic" couples using game sprites, and they're so obviously Photoshopped, crappy, awkward and nauseating? Well, Puri eventually succumbed, waddling over to the Shy Guy Kingdom to see what she could do with the sheets. As a result, Puri made this, which she eventually used for some "Internet Is For Pr0n!!1" Photoshop thingee some posts back. Well, Puri ended up liking the sprites SO much, (If a tad bit dirtier than Puri intended, but--don't look too deep on that) she decided to experiment some more with 'em.

Cream: "Don't worry, Shadow! You don't have to dress up as anything this Halloween~!" "..."



*GONG RING* "Hey Sonic, is that Cream?" "No Shadow, don't do iiiiiit!" "Okyoooo!" *"Mortal Kombat Theme"*

For some odd reason, I've had plot bunnies (no pun intended) in my head involving Cream following Shadow around--she becomes his "companion" in a way. Hey, if people say Shadow's a faker of Sonic and that Cream is a "faker" of Tails, why not let her be Shadow's sidekick? That, and look at the personality contrasts. Cream is light and innocent and sees the good in everyone, and Shadow is the exact opposite. XDDD It's a perfect partnership! *BAZOOKA'D!* As friends, of course... Cream's WAY too young for Shadow. *ATOM BOMB'D!* Sure, Shadow would be annoyed, pretty cold towards Cream--but hey, you never saw him snap at Amy. And Cream's got the patience and the ability to see that despite the bastard he is, Shadow truly does have a heart of gold. Imagine the soft moments with Shadow and Cream = cue much "AWWWWW" and crowds fleeing to the dentist.

Greenband Jiggly: Shadow: MY sidekick has her OWN sidekick. (Aka Cheese) What about YOURS, Sonic?
Tails: Okay, is he insulting me or Sonic?

Sonic: Yeah well, can YOUR sidekick make machines? What's a silly wabbit gonna do, make cupcakes for you?

Shadow: Don't. You. DARE.

And imagine that. While Sonic & Shadow are tearing each other's limbs out, Tails & Cream sip tea together and have general polite conversation. Maybe even build a sandcastle together. *dadadada*

Inspired by all the spritey goodness, OTP pairing banners/blinkies about the net, and the Sonic Pairing Pills, here's a selected set of "badges" I made for six "Sonic" ships outta my Photoshopping Mood. *nod* Congratulations, Ash Ketchum! You've won a badge!



I was chatting with Momo-chan when I was finally getting my ass on Photoshop, and I wanted to do her favorite couple first, since I was in such an awesome mood. :) And this turned out rather cutely. *nod* I wanted to make a reference to the Energizer Bunny somewhere, but I didn't have room. Dohs. :(

Yes, it could've happened! *sniff* That, and I think one of the reasons I wanted to make these badges in the first place was 'cause I wanted an excuse to use a Gamma sprite. With Amy. *nod* And gosh, it turned out cuter than I expected. *_____*

Philleh's request! Which I obliged, 'cause I wanted to play around with all those adorable little Cream sprites. :3 I think I lost by teeth by then, I was listening to a lot of adorable music while I made these. And the 4KIDS pun! I SO had to put that in there. Hee hee.

Now, for a really popular ship, Knux & Rouge were harder to make than expected. @.@ I blame the fact the "Sonic Battle" sprites suck and that the characters don't show NEARLY as much wide range of emotions as say, "Sonic Advance 3". But Rouge ain't in the "Sonic Advances"s, so this was what I was stuck with. After comparing different sprites three times or so (Rouge honestly acted too much like Shadow in a few of them. @.@), I finally was able to find a combo which I can accept as being more IC and believable, and more Knuxougie. It took me a while before I could find the right shade of green to use on the hearts--too light and you couldn't see them that well, and too dark, it looked weird. Finally, I succummbed and went to look for a game screenshot of the Master Emerald itself (which I was trying to imitate) and voila! Problem solved.

Hell yes indeed! *shoots fist in air* W00t~! And one thing I've learned from this? Finding the perfect Shadow sprite is friggin' frustrating. I mean, with Sonic, that's easy, he's got a wide variety of expressions and poses from "Sonic Advance 3". But Shadow, all he's got is "Sonic Battle". Hoo boy, talk about lack of stances! And he rarely closes his eyes or turns his back, it's... AUGH. But Puri's a Sonadow Fangirl. She would prevail eventually, which she does. And then she squeals endlessly about the badge until poor Philleh and Momo can't take it anymore.

And the final badge. *bow* Notice how I seem to use Amy in a lotta these? XDDD I would've made a Vecpio badge, but the only sprites the Chaotix have are from "Knuckles Chaotix", and I don't believe Shy Guy Kingdom has them. That, and I'm too lazy to go to other sites and look. Anyway, back to Shadamy. Shadow was a pain again, while Amy continued to be one of my favorite subjects. And I think this one definitely has the best caption. XDD
