Dave Hopkins is a violent rapist scumbag and here's the proof.
Hey guys? You know David Hopkins, aka the creator of a really awful webcomic called "Jack"? In a nutshell, he's an entitled misogynistic creep who draws a fursona to rape women with increasingly shitty art and lazy storywriting. Some more disturbing information about Hopkins has recently come to light...
Here's news from "Kate", a group that riffs the Jack comics (original post: here):
The goons at Something Awful discovered this one and it was passed on to those of us who didn’t want to spend ten bucks.
At about 54 minutes into this episode of Loveline, Katie/Karma calls.
She tells the men that her boyfriend has been drawing rape comics about someone named Drip. They laugh about the name. She reveals then that her boyfriend requested she engage in rape fantasy roleplay.
She reveals it has recently turned violent, and wants it to stop.
The men on the show tell her to run. Two years later, Dave wrote a story arc in which a woman takes the advice of loveline hosts and leaves her boyfriend, only to have him return and threaten to kill her in a jealous rage. Knowing what we know now, the arc seems like a threat towards Katie. “If you ever take their advice, I’ll come back and try to kill you. Then the police will kill me, and how will you feel about that?”

I wish there was a way Kate/Karma could take refuge in a women's shelter or something. But until she admits she's in danger and takes the first step, there's nothing anybody can do for her. :( Which is sad because based off people's responses, Katie/Karma sounds like a nice person, and it's unfortunate that she's stuck with someone like Dave Hopkins. She did a fundraiser to help pay for her husband's medical bills, and how does he thank her? By cheating on her. A lot. With multiple women. And one of them is his new inker.
All I can do is spread awareness. Fuck you, David Hopkins. I hope you get fucking arrested. Preferably before you get the chance to act out any of your "fantasies" on an undeserving victim.

I knew the comic was creepy and horrid and that the only decent thing to be associated with it was Tet and Trixi, but now I feel like even THAT'S been tainted. Just...poor Katie. After what she did for him, the bastard still has the gall to cheat on her and be a creepy dickhead?!

AC 05. I kept running into her, albeit unintentionally. I kept saying hello but she didn't bite.
I had no idea this existed.
I will always love Katie, but she doesn't want to talk to me. I wish I could commission her again or at least be a part of her life. I ran into Dave and her at AC 06, or 07... One of the two. She looked at me, I looked at her. It was in a hallway. I was sitting outside someone else's room waiting for them. Dave gave me a dollar thinking I was a bum. I don't think he realized who I was.
