Today was the big day and Homura Akemi still didn't know what to say in her letter. "Madoka Kaname, you are worth more than life itself." "Madoka Kaname, you are perfect in every way." "Madoka Kaname, I would die for you over and over again." But wouldn't those make her sad? What if everything she praises her for (her generosity, her strength, her beauty, etc.) is brushed aside in three little words ("No I'm not...")? It's frustrating how little Madoka thought of herself.
Hopefully actions spoke louder than words.
In the end, Madoka received a huge homemade chocolate heart with a small card inside for White Day:

"It feels kind of weird wearing flowers on my head, considering I used to be... you know." Asriel blushed sheepishly. "That's what you said when you were Flowey, but you didn't seem to mind." Frisk smiled. "It's not just golden flowers I'm using. You'd look cute in pink and blue too~" "Friiiiiisk, you're flirting with me again!" Asriel tugged his ears over his face, yet he can't help giggling along with his best friend. Frisk weaved clovers and forget-me-nots into his crown, then gently placed it over his head. "All done!" Frisk exclaimed. "We should find a lake so you can see your reflection." "Okay, I'm just about done with mine... There!" Asriel tied the last of the daisies--white as linen and buttery yellow--together, then draped it over Frisk's hair. His expression turned warm as he gazed upon them, and he watched the pink blossom on their cheeks as he commented in pure sincerity, "It suits you."
Neither Juri or Shiori spoken much about Ruka's passing. What was there to say? What were the things they could say? All they knew was time was fleeting--they never knew when someone they knew or were once close with could disappear forever. If either of them died right now, what things would remain unsaid? Forcing the other to live without closure regarding their relationship would be the ultimate revenge. But neither of them were suicidal or had any sort of interest in death. Juri was too proud of her achievements and wasn't willing to sabotage herself for something like that. Shiori might not like herself much, but life itself wasn't bad. Besides, she was tired of hurting Juri. And Juri was tired of holding a grudge.
Maybe this is what happens when you've been friends for so long--for better or worse, you never forget that you were friends.
They found each other under the bare trees, and for the first time in years, they had an... actual conversation. No interruptions, no angry outbursts. Just talk. It was awkward with a lot of pauses, and there was still a lot of things they weren't willing to trust each other with yet. Yet was the key word here--the idea a "yet" was even possible in the first place was a miracle itself.
