DAMN. I'd known for a while now that the Romani were seriously persecuted and treated like crap, but...jeez.

And sadly, I'm one of those people who've used the word "gypsy" thinking it was totally innocuous for the past 2 decades. D: Hell, two of my favorite songs use the word "gypsy". I had no idea it was such a loaded term, damn. And all those misconceptions about the Romani lifestyle...how could they have persisted for THIS long? D:
