I like that the Audience Alienation trope is about a 50/50 split between stuff that genuinely have horrible sounding premises and stuff that's just horrible is general. Wandering Son and Kodomo no Jikan being lumped together, what.

Seriously though write what you wanna write! I don't think the trope is necessarily a bad one, it's just (mostly) stuff that's a hard sell based on summaries.
