I mean, okay, it's horrible that the guy who's been causing nothing but trouble has fucked you over yet again. But he's already crafted this enormous bird AND if it hadn't been for the circus bugs, Dot would've been an avian's dinner. It would make more sense to banish Flik if the bird failed and the circus bugs couldn't prove themselves to be heroes.

It's one of the reasons I'm hesitant to watch "The Majestic" with Jim Carrey. I love the idea of the plot, but I'm scared as hell that the town would immediately reject Carrey's character despite him going through amnesia and having no idea of his true identity. Can someone clarify me on this?
